Guided sightseeing in the cities includes Copenhagen's Little Mermaid statue and Tivoli Gardens, the world's second-oldest amusement park; Stockholm's City Hall, where the annual Nobel Prize banquet is held; Lillehammer's Maihaugen Open-Air Museum, where you'll learn about life in Norway over the past 500 years through a re-created rural town; and Oslo's Frogner Park, with Gustav Vigeland's 200+ bronze and granite sculptures. Enjoy some of Scandinavia's and Iceland's spectacular scenery. You'll drive through Sweden's scenic Varmland, home to 10,000 lakes dotting the forested landscape; cruise on spectacular Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord, and Naeroyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; enjoy a ferry crossing from Denmark to Sweden; a scenic train ride from Bergen across the wild Hardangervidda mountain plateau; and fly from Oslo to Reykjavik.

Day 2CopenhagenSightseeing with a Local Guide features the Church of Our Savior and the Stock Exchange on the way to Christiansborg Palace, where you visit the elegant ROYAL RECEPTION ROOMS. Drive past the National Museum and the Royal Theater, and stop for pictures of Amalienborg Palace and at the LITTLE MERMAID statue. Tonight, visit TIVOLI GARDENS, the city's colorful amusement park. Day 3ArhusDrive across one of the world's largest suspension bridges, constructed off-shore to the fairytale island of Funen. Visit HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN'S MUSEUM at Odense, then cross the Little Belt waterway to Jutland. Arrive in Arhus and visit DEN GAMLE BY, a fascinating collection of completely furnished old Danish townhouses. Day 4GothenburgFrom the naval town of Frederikshavn, cross beautiful Kattegat by FERRY to Sweden's largest port city, Gothenburg. See its landmarks during an orientation drive and enjoy time on your own in this charming city. (B,D)
Day 5StockholmDrive through the 'breadbasket' of the country, miles of fertile farmland strewn with tidy farms, followed by industrial towns like Huskvarna and Norkoping, a major Baltic seaport. Arrive in Stockholm, settled on 14 islands between Lake Malar and the Baltic Sea. (B)
Day 6StockholmMorning sightseeing with a Local Guide includes the Royal Palace, Riddarholm Church, a walk through the OLD TOWN, and the festive blue and gold chambers in the CITY HALL, where the annual Nobel Prize banquet is held. Day 7KarlstadOn the shores of Lake Malar, [LF] visit King Gustav Vasa's GRIPSHOLM CASTLE before continuing west through the scenic Lake District. Day 8LillehammerA scenic day! Drive through Varmland, the area so beautifully described in Selma Lagerlof's Gosta Berling's Saga, to the Norwegian border. Via the fortress town of Kongsvinger, situated on the mighty Glomma river, and Lake Mjosa arrive in Lillehammer. Enjoy a guided visit of the fascinating MAIHAUGEN OPEN-AIR MUSEUM, an encounter with Norway's culture and history and a fascinating collection of artifacts. (B,D)
Day 9FlamMajestic mountains, dark-pine forests, sparkling lakes, and silvery trout streams abound on your leisurely journey today. Visit the well-preserved, wooden BORGUND STAVE CHURCH, before arriving in Flam, where a true highlight awaits: a leisurely CRUISE on the spectacular Sognefjord and Naeroyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 10BergenThis morning, you may wish to join the panoramic optional Flam train ride. Then, see the popular lakeside resort of Voss and drive south to the Hardangerfjord, where you will be met by [LF] the family that has owned the STEINSTO FRUIT FARM for eight generations and hear about their history. Taste home-made apple juice and cider, and enjoy lunch. Continue to picturesque Bergen, the most characteristic of all Norwegian towns. (B,L)
Day 11BergenStep back in time and explore Bryggen on a guided walking tour along narrow, cobblestone alleyways past colorful wooden houses. Also see the 12th-century St. Mary's Church, where Hanseatic merchants attended religious services until the 1870s. Balance of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 12OsloBoard the Bergen Railway and travel across the wild Hardangervidda mountain plateau to Oslo, capital of Norway. (B)
Day 13OsloSightseeing with a Local Guide features the National Theater, considered the home for Ibsen's plays; the unique Storting building, seat of Parliament; and the Royal Palace, residence of Norwegian monarchs since 1849. Stroll through magnificent FROGNER PARK with Gustav Vigeland's extraordinary sculptures; and visit the CITY HALL, where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held each year. Day 16KirkjubaejarklausturAfter a drive through cosmopolitan Reykjavik, continue to Thingvellir, a geological paradise. Here, [LF] walk through the rift valley that marks the separation between the North American and European tectonic plates. Next, stop at the hot springs at Geysir for a real treat: meet the chef of the Geysir restaurant in the geothermal areas. [LF] Taste freshly baked bread, which is cooked using the heat from the hot springs, with Icelandic butter, boiled eggs and herring, and a glass of geysir schnapps, served at freezing point. Day 17KirkjubaejarklausturDrive through the national park at Skaftafell and [LF] stop at Lake Jokulsarlon, where some of the most spectacular scenes of the James Bond movie Die Another Day were filmed. Watch how the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajokull, flows into the lake, forming icebergs. Day 18ReykjavikEnjoy a spectacular drive along Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls and see the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, well known for the eruption that generated the massive ash cloud in 2010. Arrive in Hellisheioarvirkjun, where you will visit the geothermal heat and electric POWER STATION. Return to Reykjavik and tonight, a farewell dinner has been prepared at one of the city's fine restaurants to celebrate the success of your Icelandic journey. (B,D)

Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable per person service fee ($30 for North/Central America, $50 for Europe/Middle East and $80 for all other destinations. Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and non-changeable. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option.
